About Mike

MikeMike Cassaro is a Kentucky success story. He is a good family man, a good church person, concerned citizen, distinguished physician, award-winning educator, and successful small business owner.

Mike Cassaro strongly believes in putting family first. Mike and his wife for over twenty years, Donna Cassaro, live with their children, Annie and Charlie, in Prospect, KY. Annie and Charlie had serious ailments when they were young. Even though Mike and Donna had busy careers, they devoted themselves to taking care of their ailing children. Annie and Charlie are healthy, active, and bright teenagers.

Because Annie's illness occurred when she was an infant, Donna and Mike decided to change their life styles. They moved from Elizabethtown (which they loved) to be closer to Annie's doctors in Louisville. Mike decided to accept a position on the University of Louisville Medical School's faculty.

At the University of Louisville, Mike was an award-winning educator. He devised an innovative educational program to train physicians to use a revolutionary medical procedure. Mike presented this training program to medical professionals throughout the country. After 8 years, Mike left his position to concentrate on helping people reduce their physical pain and suffering.

Mike Cassaro, who practices minimally invasive pain procedures, is an internationally renowned physician. He is one of the few physicians in America who correct problems at the source rather than just treating the symptoms. Mike has also been helping the American Society of Anesthesiologists to make surgery safer.

Mike's FamilyMike Cassaro strongly values his church and community. Despite the scheduling demands in running for Senate, Mike will continue to coordinate and attend Church activities. Mike’s many civic duties have included organizing his neighborhood association and being a Scout leader.

Mike Cassaro’s beliefs in hard work, community and church come from his parents. Together they raised six successful children. Mike’s parents were outstanding college professors.
